Terje Sorgjerd

Terje Sorgjerd is a landscape cinematographer as well as a photographer; his work is an absolute inspiration. He has two videos on vimeo that just blew me away. The colors, subjects, and shots are all exquisite. Be sure you take time to watch both of these videos. I promise you won't regret it. If these videos don't make you appreciate Mother Nature, I don't know what will.

This first video was shot on the highest peak in Spain, El Teide. There are many shots of the Milky Way. The colors are unbelievable.

This second video is too quick in my opinion. When you watch it, you'll understand. This video completely mesmerizes me. The video is a sequence of time lapses of a great aurora borealis.

Ocean Requiem

If you enjoy underwater videos of sea life with relaxing music, check this video out. It was supposed to be a deterrent film to using gill nets and overfishing. Filmed by Howard Hall, an amazing underwater cinematographer. Reminds me of scuba diving in Belize! Seeing life underwater is one the most amazing things to witness. Get a little taste:

Couldn't not share this other video by Sean Stiegemeier. The locations are from all over the world including Prague, Japan, Oregon, California, and more. His first time creating a legitimate time lapse. His talent and skill is unbelievable. Enjoy:

Time Lapses

I would love to get the proper equipment to make a beautiful time lapse. Maybe one day. For now, check out this quick time lapse by Sean Stiegemeier. Not only is it of the graceful Yosemite National Park, but he includes Sigur Rós for his music:

Inspirational

Here's another inspirational video. Great cinematography, subject, and all around video. Henry Jun Wah Lee is a talented cinematographer as well as photographer. If you're a fan of nature, then I assure you that his work will be inspirational. The whole video is shot in Yosemite, CA, a prized National Park that brings back memories of my childhood. Enjoy:

Another Element

So I figured I would start using this blog as more than just posting my photos. As a student I find it hard to be shooting all the time, let alone have the funds to purchase certain equipment that I would love to have, specifically a housing to start shooting underwater. Anyway, I figured I would starting sharing inspirational works from other artists as well. I've realized blogging is a great way to find inspirational artists and I'd like to share them with you.
